ALL ABOUT ME
My name is Avis Holley. This is my 24th year as a

Language Arts is my passion and I love to read various genres of Literature. I want to inspire my students to have a love for reading and be creative writers as well. Therefore, having an imagination to tell their story, and be lifelong learners that will cultivate the interests of others.
My hobbies consist of cycling, tennis, basketball, volleyball,
shopping, traveling, and board games. Pittsburg Steelers, Boston Redsocks, and LA Lakers are my favorite professional teams. Go UNC Tarheels!
My husband Donald and I have been married for 29 years, and we reside in Elizabeth City. Aside from teaching, my spare time is spent writing poetry and enjoying precious moments with my family. However, I have begun writing my first book entitled,
Life Of A Teacher, in which one day I hope to publish.
